In our technological age our work is made easier by a myriad of machines.
This unit will introduce the six simple machines that are the basis
for many of the tools we use every day and will touch briefly on the
principles of force, energy, and work.
Christmas
Symbols
Christmas is a wonderful and beautiful time of the year. This
unit study will cover the various symbols and traditions observed
at Christmastime, their history, meaning, and the significance they
can have for Christians. Music, activities, and Bible verses are intertwined
throughout, making it a truly joyful holiday unit.
Solar
System *
By studying the solar system, children learn about where we
come from and where we are headed. They learn about ancient history
and modern advancements. It's a wonderful topic that promises to fascinate
boys and girls, young and old alike.
Weather

Our weather affects every facet of our lives, from what we
wear to the kind of car we drive. We get up every morning and listen
intently to today's weather broadcast, fascinated by the wonder of
God's most powerful creation.
Cooking

Every child (male or female) should learn
how to cook. Many of us do it out of necessity, a few simply because
they like it, but it is an important skill to know and have developed
well. This unit study will introduce the basic concepts of cooking,
and, with adult help, even the youngest will be making meals in no
time!

Learn about the different flags of major countries of the world, their
history, and culteral significance.
Creation
